Technology emphasises the development of designing, creating and evaluating topics as a way of developing creativity and innovation.

Technology based topics are taught as part of the schools’ curriculum. These include Design and Technologies, where children apply design processes to investigate, plan, generate and refine ideas and produce and evaluate designed solutions through project-based learning. Children also have the opportunity to explore Digital Technologies, where they acquire a deep knowledge and understanding of digital systems, data and information and the processes that they can apply to using digital technologies in effective and safe ways. Technologies are taught in a two year band and are assessed from grade 1.
